I’m In Miami Trick - LMAFO
I haven’t posted a song I liked in a while, so why not this one. They’re carrying a Red Bull and Vodka in their hand, so a good time is about to happen right?!
I’ve heard “Sexy and I Know It” enough to say that is a pretty great song with an appropriately ridiculous video for a song with that title. “I’m In Miami Trick” and “Shots” were the early minor hits by LMFAO before they got everyone “party rocking”. LMFAO sophomore album hits are the basic template for EDM Pop (got to get those fits pumping), but their earlier hits were only slightly more interesting. And, by interesting, I mean instead of being 4/4 beats, they sound a lot more like something from ED Banger Records circa 2006, where the term Electro was brought back to describe music less inspired by Kraftwerk, but more with distorted wobbly synths (Proto-Dubstep, not meaning UK Garage). Though I can find a space in my heart for David Guetta alongside Justice, right here I got to choice the French duo that made people create such amazing genres as Blog House instead of the poster boy for EDM. I forgot to mention the shitty lyrics, but they’re pretty shitty, but considering “You’re looking kind of cute in that polka-dot bikini girl” is said multiple times and the original song is called “I’m in Miami Bitch”. Jordan shrug.
REAL LIFE BLOG UPDATE: WHATEVA I’m still posting till I’m out of town.
I also wanted to say, that I’m not gonna be posting here for a little bit. Not because I don’t love you, but because I need to focus on another project right now, which kind of accounts for me not really writing much the last couple weeks anyway. Then, I’m going to be out of town. But, when I get back, I get to start something that should be really really really really really really really really awesome. But, that’s weeks away, before I can say more but I’m really excited about it, if the last sentence didn’t show.
